Jamaican homegrown superstar Buju Banton has released his first single for the summer with "Madda Badda", produced by J August.
After a few hits and an equal amount of social misses, Buju has seemingly found a single he hopes will reflect the echo chamber that made him a household name in the early 90s.
Since its release on June 24th the single has been receiving positive reviews and has been making the rounds among discerning critics of Homegrown music as an innovative return to his roots.
The single has been signalled as "...a complex lyrical delivery seamed on a high-paced Dancehall fusion riddim that converges the tempered pace of today's modern dancehall with Buju's soundscape of yesterday."
