Nigerian homegrown artist Mr. Dutch has had an impressive 2022 with his singles Yawa and Azul crossing over to the west in October, wrapping up a successful year on Spotify with close to one million organic Spotify streams.
In this new project, Mr Dutch explores his life in Africa, revealing a compelling tale of internal conflict and resiliency. An introspective, full-circle project leads to a short film. 'Log Drum' is a powerful tale of overcoming adversity, finding strength, and finding happiness.
With his latest offering, the Nigerian artist blends a range of sounds into an Afro-R&B soundscape. After a string of successful hits, Mr Dutch developed his latest project to explore his own struggles. On the 'Log Drum' EP, he replaces woeful soul-searching with catchy afro-pop, delivering powerful messages.
Featuring excellent vocals by new-generation R&B and Afrosoul artist Luddy Dave, Mr Dutch's Zambo is already considered a "future classic of African music."
