40+ Homegrown Artists For Sumfest 2022
Sumfest has confirmed 40+ artists for this years staging of Sumfest 2022, but are the young ones ready?

The lineup is seemly in concrete for this year's relaunched staging of the world-renowned Sumfest Music festival set for July 20th - 23rd in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
With a heavy Dancehall driven contingency among this year's billing, ticket holders can anticipate a mixed box of acts, that for some will deliver an immersive live concert music discovery experience.
Though local female heavyweights such as Spice, Koffee, and Shenseea are confirmed, the nights will prove interesting with rising stars Jada Kingdom, Shaniel Muir, and the emerging Marcy Chin all billed for this year's staging and are anticipated to deliver to the 12-15K nightly turnout that is expected for the 2-day live concert.
Despite the male fraternity billed, it will prove to be a make or break stage for some of the younger acts who have not refined their live stage delivery, and for the ones yet to prove that level of potential.
Jahshii, Intence, Iwaata, and 450 though undeniable digital dancehall sensations, have yet to stamp a memorable stage performance that can be shared by fans with pride.
Blame it on the pandemic, but Homegrown music is going through its own constraints that Sumfest 2022 just might be the inevitable proving ground for the future of Homegrown music.
