Ishawna Delivers with Ed Sheraan Collab
Ed Sheeran Collab hands Ishawna her first #1 since 2017's "Equal Rights" monster hit.

In late 2021 Jamaican female talent Ishawna sparked one of the year's most anticipated collaboration projects with Mega music star Ed Sheeran.
The pair finally teamed up to cut the dancehall-driven single "Brace It", which they delivered on Friday to top the Dancehall Global Top40 Charts, handing Ishawna her first #1 since her 2017's "Equal Rights" monster hit that swept the Caribbean diaspora worldwide.
"Equal Rights" was a witty tongue-in-cheek reprise of Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You", and coupled with Ed Sheeran's obsession with Jamaican culture, it was not long before the song reached his ears.
And by all accounts, he was thoroughly impressed.
Ed Sheeran revealed on QMusic Radio in October 2021 his love for the Ishawna reprise, extending an open collab invitation to the Jamaican singer, which she gladly accepted in a heartbeat.
By November 2021, the pair had announced a confirmed collaboration sparking an eight-month wait that has been duly satisfied.
