According to recent data from music analytics service, Vibrate, reggae music has emerged as one of the most popular and trending genres on YouTube in the past 30 days. 

With 429 million views, it has surpassed other popular genres like Metal Rock, which garnered 342 million views.

Although Pop, Hip Hop, and Latin music are still the top three genres with the highest views, reggae has managed to secure a spot in the top 10 list.

This is a remarkable achievement considering the stiff competition from other popular genres like Rock, R&B, and Country music.

Reggae music, which originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s, has had a rich history and has evolved into different sub-genres over the years. It is characterized by its signature rhythm, syncopated beat, and lyrics that reflect social and political commentary.
