Jamaican-based producer Notnice, recently delivered an impressive "juggling" riddim with his "Cool Reminder" project, which contained a balanced blend of veterans and rising stars of Homegrown Dancehall.
Among the 14 artists featured on the track were veterans Beenie Man and Patra, alongside stalwarts Busy Signal and Charly Black who did not disappoint.
But it was the title track "Cool Reminder" by Elephant Man that stands out as the gem of the pack. In a season when summer songs are in a drought, Elephant man brings us back to a time when Dancehall was ripe and fruitful, and a reliable source of happiness for fans at home and aboard.
Considering the lack of Summer songs for the first time in a long while, Elephant Man's "Cool Reminder" is warm nostalgia on a hot Jamaican summer day.
