Ineffable Records Surpasses VP as Reggae's #1 Indie Distributor

INEFFABLE Records, a California-based Reggae-focused label, racked up 1.1 billion Spotify streams in 2022, surpassing VP Records to become Reggae's #1 Independent Digital Music Distributor.
Approximately 1.8 billion Spotify streams were generated by the Reggae genre in 2022 according to Caribbean music metrics service Certifiedstreams.
Based on INEFFABLE's 1.1 billion streams, it would hold 55% of the active digital reggae market, and has made significant in roads within the Caribbean music space, with a bevy of hits from Collie Buddz, KES, Anthony B, Demarco, Konshens, and Turbulence to name a few.
Under the leadership of CEO Thomas Cussins, Adam Gross INEFFABLE has shown a lot of growth over the past three years, with a near 50% year-over-year increase in streaming numbers since 2019, when 392 million Spotify streams were harvested.
In 2020 the label was placed behind the Universal Music as Reggae' biggest distributor.
Founded in 2006, the three pronged music group comprises of INEFFABLE LIVE, INEFFABLE MANAGEMENT, and INEFFABLE Records, and is based in Oakland, California.
There are currently 18 stellar acts currently signed to the label, including Collie Buddz, Iya Terra, J Boog, Stick Figure, The Elovators, and homegrown artist Jesse Royal, and according to its official website INEFFABLE Live produces close to 1000 concerts a year, and is in active partnership with a number of premium music festivals on the US west coast.
