Jamaican Born Talent Sekkelz quietly released her debut full-length EP project "Queen" on July 8th 2022.
The seven-track project is a pleasant surprise and a well-produced effort, which she uses to bring her jovial online personality into a musical echo chamber that creates a comfortable experience for first-time listeners.
It is rare these days to find an album from a Jamaican homegrown newcomer on which the forward button is not heavily applied, but "Queen" is an unexpecting laid-back and easy-going experience that adds a new element to any daytime party experience where a body of water is required and an ideal go-to album for any "girl's trip" experience.
Born Reina Butler, Sekklez started her musical journey in 2017 on the back her debut single ‘Bubble Gum’ and followed up with ‘Look Good’ and ‘Away’,.
In 2021 Sekklez released ‘Girl Hot Now’ to rave reviews and followed up soon after with ‘Woiie’, both tracks which have positioned her as a future act to watch in Global Dancehall.
